TEAM
The work environment at Gordian Knot Strategies is vibrant, challenging, empowering, and purposeful – all of which align with our inspiring goal to Mobilize $1 Billion in Climate Finance Each Year by 2030. We are a virtual team in multiple time zones, which allows us to choose where and when to do our work. Expectations are high for quality and rigor in our deliverables, but latitude for missteps is wide and those rare occasions are treated as learning opportunities.
Our four C.A.R.E principles act as the glue to the team. These principles shape our interactions within the team and with our clients. In practice, our principles and our values mean that we keep each other updated, show up for scheduled appointments, practice civil and respectful communication, have each other’s backs, and always deliver against our scope of work.
C – Connect: Keep the team & clients in the loop
A – Achieve: Do what you say & finish what you start. Contribute to our goal of $1B/year by 2030 in climate finance. As a company, we strive for continuous improvement in all our systems and processes.
R – Respect: Be polite to colleagues & clients. Show up on time. Be curious about others. Recognize the achievements of others. Have each other’s back and avoid CBD (complaints, blaming, defensiveness). Respect our planet and our resources
E – Empower: Pursue mastery of your role at GKS. Secure additional learning opportunities under the staff enhancement program. Leverage GKS to become recognized in the field (e.g. podcaster, author, speaker, etc.). Mistakes are simply opportunities to learn and improve. Micro-management is not on the menu.
